Taper drill rods, also named as taper drill steels, work with taper drill bits which are usually hexagonal. Like integral drill steel, taper drill steels also have different length to fit different drilling applications in mining, quarrying, road building etc. Since taper drill rods need taper drill bits to work, there are different taper degree (like 7, 11, 12, etc.) on customers' request. The basic theory is that taper drill rods and taper drill bits must be in the same tapered degree. With different design of drill bits, like taper cross bits, taper button bits, taper chisel bits, our taper drill rods are used economically and extensively in the world.
