SINODRILLS 4 Wings Step Drag Bits
4 wings step drag bits are one-piece construction of alloy steel cast with tungsten carbide cutting tips and gauge sides to ensure longer life. It has 4 wings and 4 flushing holes. 4 wings step drag bits are more durable and last longer than 3 wings step drag bits, because of the cutting structure, but will penetrate more slowly. 4-wing step drag bits are more stable and tend toward drilling a straighter hole, as their 4 wings have a more stable structure and do not make a deviation in the drilling.
4 wings step drag bits are economical tools when drilling softer geological formations and shallower depths, They are primarily designed for soft to medium formations, such as Clay, Loam, Silt, Mostsoft-to-medium soils that have some moisture, etc.
Features of 4 Wings Step Drag Bits
• A solid one piece heat treated, 4140 alloy steel body for bit strength & durability;
• CNC threaded machining for proper installation &use;
• Forgings are milled to better seat the carbide inserts.
• Select tungsten carbide inserts 5.5mm thick are standard.
• Relief is hand ground behind carbide inserts for maximum performance.
